On 10th June we had the fantastic opportunity to participate in the Community Festival organised by the University of Manchester. The event was a fun day with hands-on activities for families and we were thrilled to be featured in the Linguistic Diversity Collective stall.
We offered an engaging matching activity with cards focusing on words of Greek origin in English. Children and adults embraced the challenge and, despite not knowing the Greek alphabet, they quickly grasped the concept with a few hints. The response from the visitors was overwhelmingly positive and some even took cards home as a memento of the day.
