Board of Trustees

The Greek School of Manchester Constitution states that “The charity trustees (School Committee) shall manage the affairs of the CIO and may for that purpose exercise all the powers of the CIO.”

With that in mind, the Board of Trustees is responsible for:

  • writing and maintaining the policies that govern and guide the School
  • approving and monitoring the School budget
  • appointing and managing the Headteacher and all teaching and supporting staff
The members of the Board of Trustees are in charge of the school’s operational management. They exercise their powers and perform their functions in ways that further the purposes of the School, as set out both in the School’s Constitution and in the annual School plans agreed by its members. They dedicate their time and efforts on a voluntary (non-paid) basis to serve the best interests of the school and its community.
